WHAT MAKES MY APPROACH DISTINCTIVE?

My methodology integrates therapeutic frameworks with creative depth, trauma literacy with ancestral and ecological dimensions. I call it "embodied kinship practice" - treating methodology itself as a living, responsive creative act constantly in motion.

I work from deep respect for sacred Indigenous knowledge systems, Buddhist contemplative traditions, and mycelial intelligence to ground my own Irish ancestry. Learning from these wisdoms I have developed practices appropriate for contemporary Western contexts struggling with rupture and disconnection.

My background combines:

  • PhD research in trauma and memory through visual arts (Plymouth University, 2017)
  • Body psychotherapy training in CORE Evolution/Biodynamics and trauma work (2004-2010)
  • 12+ years training in collective trauma integration with Thomas Huebl
  • 17+ years running workshops and facilitating organisational change
  • Ongoing practice-research through Arts Research & Ecology (founded 2018)
  • Published research in peer-reviewed journals and edited collections
